About TDC Automotive & Light Duty Diesel
Honesty & Quality
TDC Automotive & Light Duty Diesel is Trevor's shop — an owner-operated garage at 8407 Aztec Drive in Cheyenne, Wyoming, built on a reputation as a skilled, farm-tested mechanic who does things the right way or not at all.
"TDC" stands for Top Dead Center — the exact reference point every engine is timed and measured from. That's the standard here: exact. Every diagnostic job follows correct procedure — verify the issue, visually and physically inspect the vehicle, scan for trouble codes, and test to confirm the component is failing — before a single part is recommended. It takes more discipline than throwing parts at a symptom, and it's why the trucks that leave this shop stay fixed.
The shop works on all major makes of gas vehicles and specializes in light-duty diesel pickups — the Cummins, Powerstroke and Duramax trucks that do real work in this country. That includes the deep-specialty jobs a lot of shops won't touch: injection pump conversions, differential re-gears, built transmissions and performance builds.
Rates are posted, not discovered: $125/hr for gas, $135/hr for diesel. You'll get the findings and an estimate before repair work starts, and a straight answer even when the honest answer is "it's not worth fixing."
Customers come from across southeast Wyoming, the Nebraska panhandle and Northern Colorado — see what they say on Google and Facebook.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who will actually work on my vehicle?
Trevor — the owner. TDC is owner-operated, so the person who diagnoses your vehicle is the person who fixes it and the person who answers the phone.
What does 'Honesty & Quality' mean in practice?
Diagnosis by procedure before parts get sold, findings shown to you in plain English, an estimate before repair, quality parts, and work verified before pickup. If something doesn't need fixing yet, you'll be told that too.
What is TDC?
Top Dead Center — the reference point every engine is measured from. It's the standard the shop aims for: exact, not approximate.
